In the past few weeks, they have begun to spend more time together, which may be related to the fact that they both realize Nicholas will be leaving for college soon. In fact, we have been doing more and more activities together, like nightly walks, watching shows, and just hanging out.
Whatever, their motivation for hanging out more, it was so nice to have this outing with them. We went to Monahan's Seafood, one of our favorite places for seafood. They each got their usuals - fish and chips for Nicholas and calamari for Cate. I got the special, Thai chili shrimp!
I look forward to spending more time together this summer and beyond. Today is a gift. Tomorrow is not promised.
